Great service and lovely instrument - value for mo

I have been looking at getting a tenor guitar to add to my repertoire for some time and am very impressed with the speed of delivery, guarantee and service from Artist Guitars. The tenor guitar is nicely made and great value for a lower priced instrument. Projects well, sounds very good and I'm sure I will get years of pleasure from it. My target now is to learn to play it properly.

Great instrument, and very reasonably priced.

I have played Irish bouzouki and Irish tenor banjo for many years (GDAd and GDAe respectively.) This instrument came strung ready for tenor guitar tuning (CGda.) It sounds absolutely great. The action and intonation are excellent, the build quality is exceptional and it looks very nice with the timbers used in its construction. It has nice fine grained spruce used on the top and produces great tone already, with good volume. I expect it will improve considerably as it plays in. The built in tuner and pick up work very well too, and sounds very decent plugged in.

Had my eye on this for a while and picked it up on special. Play mandolin (violin as a boy), and wanted something with the tone of a guitar without having to move away from fifths. Very happy with the quality of this instrument - easy to play (apart from having to stretch stumpy fingers), keeps in tune and has good intonation up the fretboard. Haven't plugged it into an amp, but tuner works well. Ordering process was hassle free and delivery was prompt.

Happy with this little fun machine. I keep changing the tuning for different sounds from a banjo sound to slide. Good value for money.

Unbelievably good for the price

Although the title is correct, do not think that it is a surprisingly good but still cheap guitar. It is an excellent guitar by any standards. I have owned a Gibson and a Martin and this compares well with both of them. The guitar is well set up, spot-on accurate and has a lovely bright tone either tuned in 5ths or Chicago. I can't think of a criticism to moderate my review. Maybe I got the best one they ever made but I would recommend that you give Artist a try. I am just about to purchase a parlour guitar from them.
