About This Artist Vintage Hybrid Fretless 4 string Bass - Passive/Active Preamp  

The Artist Vintage Hybrid Fretless Bass is a truly innovative model in the Artist range, blending traditional P Bass and Jazz Bass pickups into the one guitar! Add to this the special sound and feel of a fretless bass and you have quite a unique instrument.

With a newly designed active preamp circuit that delivers a broad range of active and passive tones, the Artist Vintage Hybrid Bass offers both a classic vintage sound while also satisfying the broader sonic spectrums required by the modern bassist. This is achieved by the combination of the passive P and J style pickups and the versatile active preamp/EQ that offers extremely effective cut/boost bass and treble controls. There is also a separate battery chamber for easy battery replacement.

This lovely bass has an Ash body that is finished in white gloss with a black 3-ply scratchplate. In contrast, the Canadian Maple neck and headstock are in a matte finish allowing for smooth playability. Add to this the 20 fret Eco-Rosewood fret-board, cool looking dot inlays, open geared tuners and bone nut and you definitely have an efficient, attractive and affordable Bass that ticks a lot of boxes.
