Artist LP59TSB  Deluxe LP Electric Guitar Tobacco Sunburst

The Artist LP59TSB guitar is our top of the line LP-style guitar whether it be for gigging or recording and is definitely one of the best LP-styled guitars on the market in relation to quality and price. This guitar has a great rock/ blues sound that easily produces that big fat fluid sound so typical of any good quality LP style guitar

The body consists of a AAA grade veneer top that is finished off with a single ply cream binding over carved maple and a back of solid mahogany. The plain sawn set neck is made of mahogany and has an eco-rosewood fretboard. The 22 fret neck is a comfortable "C" shape with trapezoid mother of pearl inlaid into the purple wood fretboard. With the typical 24.75" scale length you are sure to bend notes as well as any blues or rock player going around.

The guitar is finished with an impressive Tobacco Sunburst while the back is a solid black polyurethane finish. The deluxe hardware consists of chrome locking tuners, lock-down-post Tune-O-Matic bridge with nickel saddles and an aluminium Stop Tailpiece.

The Pickups we use on our LP59CSB are our signature Artist Bullbucker Pickups with Nickel Silver covers. The pickups on this model are COIL SPLITTING. They have a creamy smooth 'flute-like' sound on the neck pickup while the bridge pickup breaks up nicely with no harsh upper mids. They are both vintage-moderate output pickups. An added feature is that both pickups offer coil tapping which guarantees that this guitar will deliver a wide range of tonal options.

We also use the best electronic parts to reproduce the classic wiring configuration. 2 Volume and 2 Tone Control, standard 3-way toggle switch, Japanese Split Brass Shaft 500K Pots, 0.022uF,400V ceramic capacitors, and 1/4" Input Jack.

The factory strings are standard  D'Addario EXL110 strings.

Great Guitar

Make no mistake this is a really good quality guitar and is really well made. I just love playing it and it fits into my family very nicely.... If you like string bending the neck on this guitar really feels very solid but doesn't feel big for small hands... I am blown away by this and just how pretty it is... Artist Guitars service is just fantastic and when I did have only 1 issue with one of the tuners lock they shipped me a replacement. I would have no problem recommending this guitar or Artist Guitars to anyone.. Thanks Artist

Genuinely impressed and a pleasant surprise.

Having previously purchased an LP60 which my muso friend is having difficulty returning, I opted for a 59 more so, to satisfy my curiosity with how the BB pickups would perform with my preferred Alnico V magnets. I received the guitar within 3 days (rural delivery) and proceeded to inspect as I would with any new guitar. The assembly and finish is impressive and all I needed to do was action setup and intonation which is the norm for any new guitar. I did change to a lighter gauge string but that was out of preference. I had not read the specifications that well but did notice that the pickups were coil split which doesn't mean that they are necessarily wired for single/humbucker selection. I plugged in and set the tone and volume to mid way when I noticed the volume knob was raised. I pushed it down thinking it was loose and hey presto! Push Pull Pots! Here I was thinking I'd be doing the mod. The spec doesn't actually list push/pull pots but what a pleasant surprise. With the added pickup tone selection and the fact that the pups are not overly "hot" meant I can extract that jazz sound that I was after. The BB pickups perform extremely well and all round, you can spend a lot more but I doubt you'd get more value. I'd place this guitar in the $800 - $1000 bracket. The only option I would like to see from a personal perspective is a roller bridge.

Looks incredible, plays great

Firstly, the pictures on the website just don't do this guitar justice - it is truly gorgeous. Secondly, it feels great to play - its comfortable, not too heavy and plays really nicely. As far as tone goes, I'm by no means an expert, but it seems pretty decent. I found it doesn't quite have the same quality/volume of tone output as my Ibanez but at 1/10th the cost that's somewhat expected. Worth noting is that when I received this guitar the locking tuners were damaged, the guitar couldn't hold tune and the 1st E string kept slipping out the tuning peg. However this was where Artist's amazing customer service kicked in: I sent them an email on the Sunday night detailing the problems and they responded within hours with a return shipping label etc and by Tuesday evening I had a brand new replacement with perfectly working locking tuners delivered. So as disappointing as it was to receive a damaged product in the first place I was super happy with the service I received rectifying the issue. Overall thoroughly happy with this guitar, it has pride of place on our lounge wall and I pick it up and play it as often as I can spare the time to.
