Artist AP1 Electric Guitar w/ Humbucker Pickups & Accessories

This Electric Guitar is used for various styles of music, most notably all the styles of Rock, Blues, and Metal. All of these guitars have a Set Neck for superior sustain and tone, unlike a lot of similarly priced guitars on the market that usually have a bolt-on neck.

Note: the 'Set Neck' design on any guitar type always gives superior SUSTAIN and TONE over a 'Bolt-on Neck' design... (This is why Metalheads the world over play only set neck guitars).

This is a full size guitar perfect for Adults, recommended for children over the age of 12 (or younger if your child is strong and taller than 1.2m)

It includes all accessories you need to get started:

  • AP1 Electric Guitar
  • Electronic Guitar Tuner
  • Strap
  • Bag
  • Lead
  • Picks

Some of this guitar's Great Features:

It has an Okumen neck with an eco-rosewood fretboard, a 2 way truss rod (which means you can adjust the neck up or down)

The body is made of Okumen, which is lighter than mahogany whilst still providing warmth, and it has a maple tiger stripe veneer for good looks. To top it off we've added the classic-look cream pickguard.

Two Wilkinson humbuckers for a great classic rock and metal tones!

It has a Tune-O-Matic style fixed bridge (common in most LP guitars) & die-cast machine heads that will help you stay in tune longer and make your tuning easier.

We include a range of support materials from how to tune, how to read tab, basic chord shapes and more.

Excellent guitar

By: on 27 June 2025
This is a solid, well built guitar that I can highly recommend. The Guitar arrived at the estimated time and in excellent condition. The factory strings need to be replaced with the provided Artist Strings and once they are stretched, they stay in-tune very well. My one weighed in at 3.8 kg, about the same as my Japanese made Strat. Not heavy by Les Paul standards, but not a light guitar either. The neck is a bit thicker than I'm used to, but it's smooth and easy to play once the rest of the guitar is set up. The eco-rosewood fingerboard felt dry and some lemon oil fixes that. You can use furniture polish but lemon oil is best (available at your local music store). I would recommend beginners get their guitar set up by your local music shop as it's worth to get it playing as well as possible. I did my own set up and the adjustments at the saddle need to be done in small increments. A small turn goes a long way so be careful if you're doing it yourself. Same advice for the pick-up height. The Wilkinson pick-ups are very good, but with the volume controls on full can be almost too hot. I personally have the Bridge or Neck volume down near half way to get a nice clear overdriven sound with an overdrive pedal and then turn them up for lead or general mayhem. The tone controls also increase your sound options. The three way Selector switch with the in-between position (neck and bridge pick-up together) gives a nice Strat- like tone, so this is a very versatile guitar tone wise with the added benefit of being noise free when using a high-gain amp or pedal. The Electronic Guitar Tuner, Strap, Bag and Lead are all of satisfactory quality. You may need to buy a longer strap and a better quality lead at a later stage. In summary, I love looking at my Artist AP1 and love playing it, but no guitar is perfect and that's why guitarists have more than one style of guitar.
