Artist TXC20EQ Handbuilt Classical Guitar w/ EQ & Hard Case
With the Artist TXC20EQ, we’ve taken the earlier TXC10EQ to an elevated level of design and performance, creating a guitar that ranks among the finest we’ve built. Handcrafted by the same dedicated team of luthiers behind the Artist GG1EQ, the Artist TXC20EQ is the result of an unwavering commitment to quality and precision maintained through every step of the design and production process.
The TXC20EQ’s cedar top produces a rich, rounded tone, with a complex overtone structure that delivers a warm, resonant voice. Cedar’s naturally softer density imparts a more mellow response than Spruce, making it ideal for musicians who value depth and character over brightness and projection. Cedar tops open up quickly when compared with Spruce tops (which often require a longer period of "playing in"), and are often favoured by those who play with a delicate touch, making Cedar the perfect material for classical and fingerstyle players. Paired with the African Mahogany back and sides, which provide a subtle mid-range "punch", the TXC20EQ produces a wonderfully balanced tone across the entire frequency spectrum.
A 3-piece Mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard joins the body via a carved Spanish Heel, which, in concert with a bone nut and saddle, delivers wonderful sustain, allowing the European Spruce and African Mahogany bracing to resonate as if the whole guitar were carved from a single piece of wood. High ratio Der Jung tuners and a Fishman INK Preamp round out the high-end features on the TXC20EQ, ensuring unparalleled tuning stability and faithful reproduction of its stunning acoustic tone, making it the perfect gigging classical guitar.
