An advanced evolution of the earlier Valeton VLP200, the Valeton VLP400 Stereo Looper & Drum Machine Effects Pedal offers enhanced performance features, intuitive controls, and expanded creative flexibility for modern musicians. Designed with dual-loop architecture, the VLP400 allows independent control of LOOP 1 and LOOP 2, with SERIAL and FREE modes enabling sequential or parallel playback to suit complex arrangements or layered textures.
The VLP400 features intelligent overdubbing that automatically aligns new recordings to exact multiples of the loop length. A flashing blue LED alerts users when timing is off, and recording stops automatically when properly synced. For traditional layering, the STACK function is available via a long press on the ASSIGNABLE footswitch. The addition of ASSIGN knobs and programmable footswitches gives players immediate access to seven real-time loop effects - Octave, Reverse, Freeze, Half, Fade, Once, and Solo - visually indicated by purple-lit LEDs for intuitive operation.
A powerful 100-pattern stereo drum machine is built in, delivering 24-bit / 48 kHz sampled rhythms across a wide range of genres. Drum patterns are controlled independently and sync automatically with loops. In AUTO mode, the drum machine adjusts to the tempo of a recorded loop, and a double-tap on the ASSIGNABLE footswitch starts or stops both loop and rhythm simultaneously.
Connectivity is comprehensive, with a combo input for instruments or dynamic microphones, automatic output level detection, and external footswitch support via the CTRL interface. A standard 5-pin MIDI connection enables full clock sync, with the VLP400 functioning as either a master or slave depending on signal input.
With 32-bit, 48 kHz audio processing and storage for up to 99 user projects, each with six minutes of stereo recording, the VLP400 offers 12 hours of total loop time. Projects retain loop data, drum settings, and tempo, and users can import/export WAV files via USB. Multi-color LEDs provide clear visual feedback, and full Windows/macOS compatibility allows easy file management and firmware updates.
Compact, powerful, and highly flexible, the VLP400 is a significant upgrade from the VLP200 - built to meet the demands of today’s loop-based performers and creators.

If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
