The Artist CL34 is a 3/4 scale classical guitar carefully tailored for students and younger players. When a full-size instrument is simply too cumbersome to hold, this compact classical model provides an ergonomic and comfortable fit. Designed specifically to remove the early roadblocks of learning, it offers an easy, highly playable introduction to the world of music.
Unlike steel-string acoustics, the CL34 utilizes low-tension nylon strings, which are significantly softer and easier to press down for beginners developing finger strength. Structurally, the guitar features a laminated spruce top that produces a bright, sweet, and warm classical tone, built with durable construction to handle daily practice. In our commitment to quality, the smooth neck and stable bridge are crafted using eco-rosewood, a high-quality, responsibly sourced timber alternative.
To make learning fundamental chords as smooth as possible, the CL34 features a "practical string action" height set at the factory. This precise configuration ensures the strings sit low enough for comfortable fretting while eliminating unwanted string buzz. Rare for classical guitars in this price range, it also features a built-in adjustable truss rod, allowing you to easily correct the neck shape against changes in climate and humidity to keep your action low and consistent.
This 3/4 size classical guitar package is recommended for children aged 8 to 10 and between 125cm and 155cm tall. If you are shopping for a younger, smaller child, consider exploring our CL12 (1/2 size) or CL14 (1/4 size) models. For players who are older or taller, we recommend looking into our full-size CL44 packages.
These recommendations are guidelines designed to ensure a comfortable fit, rather than strict rules. Because physical build and ability vary, a younger player with a longer reach or advanced technique may easily handle an instrument outside their recommended age bracket.

We use Courier services to ship our goods to you as fast as possible. Once the package leaves our warehouse the time to your door depends on your location, and any reported delays in your area.
We ship all orders for free. All deliveries are insured so if an item arrives damaged we'll happily refund or replace it for you. Check our warranty page for more information.
Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
Also included in your warranty is our industry leading 100 Days Change of Mind Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
If you do require a return, just Open a Support Ticket and we'll either send you a reply paid label for Australia Post or arrange for a collection by courier. This will depend on your location and the product you purchased. If you have any trouble you can contact us.

In stock products are dispatched from our warehouse just outside of Auckland within one business day of purchase. To get an estimate for shipping to your post code please use the Shipping Time Estimator on the product listing.
Drop us an email with your order number and a short explanation for why you'd like to return your purchase. We'll organise a return label for you to print and attach to the box then either drop into your local post office or we can arrange a courier collection if necessary.
If your item arrives damaged we have you covered! Just contact our Customer Happiness team at sales@artistguitars.co.nz and we'll arrange a return and replacement for you as soon as possible.
Our NZ operation is run using a 3rd party warehouse in just outside of Auckland. Being a 3PL it is not open to the public.
