Great for the price
By: Matthew Hill on 22 September 2025The kit arrived quickly and is very easily assembled. The truss rod required a little adjustment and the fret ends needed a little filing work to be comfortable as they had sharp burs remaining. The tuners are cheap rubbish that feel rough and bind up. 2 of them are so bad they are borderline on unuseable as they are so hard to turn at any tension at all so be prepared to have to upgrade these beforebyou can even tune it for the first time. All in all a good product for the price and the finish is limited only by your ability

Kitset
By: garry on 19 September 2025The Kitset is average, some of the parts used are low quality, 2 of the tuners are faulty and slip when turned, neck wood is soft and doesn't feel like good Maple. bridge doesn't sit flat, frets are rough and need polishing, few small marks and dents in the body, screw holes line up but not perfect. Neck arrived Convexed and needed the truss rod adjusted a lot first 2 frets were buzzing and needed work. electrics are ok and sound is ok. overall the kitset is ok price and is reasonable considering the free shipping. the kit is easy to assemble but the finishing is more difficult to get a playable sound, would advise buyers to get a shop to do the finally setup like truss rod, intonation and strings if you want a nice action on the fretboard. the guitar is more like an irin guitar than a squire or other good strat copies.

Great kit
By: William on 31 July 2025Brought the kit for a school project, my first DIY kit. Worked prefectly, easy to build and to manage. Had no troubles whatsoever during the build and the finish of the guitar body.

Got there in the end
By: Nate on 3 July 2025So first off, there is absolutely no way this thing was assembled in their factory. At least, not the way the instructions tell you to do it. The pick guard CANNOT be installed after the neck, and I damaged the fret board trying. If you try to slide it in, the pickups get in the way, if you try to drop it in, the neck gets in the way. You probably could get away with using the neck as is, but it's not a great finish, and was too rough for my liking, so I ended up sanding and finishing that as well. The body had WAAAY too many nicks and dings in it for my liking. I know I'm expected to finish is myself, and that means filling some voids, but come on! Installation of the hardware was relatively painless. All the predrilled holes lined up well. The instructions are a bit sparse in the setting up section. There are some good videos on youtube about how to do that, so not a huge deal. Pro tip though: Don't put the back plate on until you've installed the strings, and adjusted the claw so the bridge floats correctly. Also, be patient with your finish. I rushed it and it doesn't look great. I'm probably going to just live with it for a while, but it needs to be stripped back and done again. It looks trash. That's nothing to do with the kit though, that's my own fault. Just a PSA. All in all, there was nothing that an amateur couldn't fix (minus my now chipped fret board) and I did end up with exactly what I wanted (or would have if I hadn't been so impatient.) It was just a bit more work than I expected, and the instructions could use some work. 3 stars
