Artist Guitars: Great traders ;Excellent communication, Speedy delivery, instrument well packed & in perfect condition. The guitar is well finished with a smart comfortable neck and nicely proportioned frets. Very smooth & easy to play. The single coil pickups & simple 3 way position switch, along with a single Tone & Volume controls make for ease of sound variation. The guitar is reasonably heavy in comparison with my two American produced Fender Strats (1963 & 1991) but as a 78 year old guitarist who has owned & played a variety of guitars when playing in groups since the age of 12; I consider it an extremely great buy for the price and the ease of purchase! I thoroughly endorse Artist Guitars on the production and high quality of this guitar.

My best Tele

First, I am a lousy guitarist. I don’t practice, I find it hard to learn songs, and basically I’m just lazy. Saying that, I have good ears and I know what sounds good. I can play well enough to see how well an instrument sounds. A while ago, I had to sell my beloved G&L ASAT Tele due to complications from my indigent and profligate lifestyle. I did try to replace this two years ago, but my technophobe stupidity meant I was only able to get a Squier Bullet Tele top loader. This is all right, but no substitute for my G&L. So after getting an Artist ST62 Strat and paying it off, I promised myself an Artist V 91 Tele. I only picked this up last week to listen to the tones. It weighs over 10 pounds, my heaviest Artist guitar by far. But the sound!!! It drips liquid Teleness with every delicious note. Yes, this is better than my G&L. Both have Louisiana swamp ash and maple neck wood, and the resonance is unbelievable. The neck feels like it was custom made for my hand. The Twanglrr pickups, like those in the Strat, ring bright and clear, but reach well down for the low notes. This is more versatile than the Strat, but some songs just need a Strat. Thanks Artist, you have made my year.

Another winner

This arrived just before Christmas. Super quick with adequate packaging. Artist service is 2nd to none!! The guitar looks really nice . I love natural looking guitars. Set up was good.... will need a little intonation, but playable out of the box. String height - good. Frets good.... will clean but no issues. Tones.... I think this is the winner. The twangler pick ups are great and every position is very playable. I usually don't like the bridge pick ups,.... but these are great. Played all styles with this and it has performed exceptionally. I purchased this as a back up to my more expensive ($$) guitars, but I can see this guitar being used for many songs on it's own merits. Well worth the money....even at twice the price!!
