Artist AT91V3 Electric Guitar w/ Twangler Single-Coil Pickups

We've given the all-conquering Artist AT91 another refresh! We've cut weight on these by routing the pickup slot, and adding a deeper belly cut and arm contour, making the guitar you know and love even lighter and easier to play!

Combining classic looks with contemporary modern features, the AT91V3 takes all the best bits from this style of guitar and brings them forward into the modern era. Specifically, the belly-cut and arm contour on the body, which help with ergonomics and also reduces the weight of the guitar quite significantly.

The AT91V3 comes equipped with our very own Artist Twangler single-coils for the bright, spanky tones you might expect from a guitar of this style, with the bone nut, locking tuners and a modern 6-saddle bridge providing ultimate tuning stability and allowing you to intonate this guitar very accurately.

The body is made from AA Grade American Ash, with swimming pool routing beneath the pickguard making this a highly mod-able instrument! The AT91V3 has a satin Maple neck in a C-shape profile with black dot inlays and a skunk-stripe on the rear. This guitar has a two-way truss rod and the 25.5” scale length you’d expect from this style, and the improved wiring and 250K pots make this very responsive under the fingers - perfect for everything from country twang to rock!

Artist AT91V3 review

By: on 31 August 2025
I recently ordered this model Artist Tele, having also purchased the AT57 black Relic & AT 72 Pink Paisley Artist Teles. My rationale for buying this AT91 model was the Maple fingerboard + American Ash body and the great price and great specs. This model has the best pickups, best resonance and sustain of the 3x . Yes the guitar is as heavy as a typical Les Paul requiring a decent heavy leather strap for comfort.Outstanding features include the way the separate body pieces grains have been matched, tuning stability, over-sized strap buttons, nicely finished fret ends, great neck with the fretboard tinted to match the body finish - I love the new Artist classy metal logo on both pickups as well as the Headstock logo! One note re the 12" neck radius feels more like a 14" (!)similar to both the AT57/AT72,which is more obvious on the all maple neck. This Guitar is Bargain Priced.ALSO Two days delivery time from Wanaka to Titirangi! Thank you Artist Guitars NZ.

AT91V2 Natural

By: on 19 August 2025
It's been almost a year since I purchased an AT91V3, and I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it! Yes it's heavy, but so are Les Pauls! I have replaced the string trees with roller ones and the original saddles with graph-tech ones, but these are just my personal preferences. This is one damn faithful telecaster, the pick-ups sound awesome, and not too trebly like a lot of cheap tele copies do! And the neck! The action - fantastic! I will own this axe till the day I die. Thanks again you guys!

Another good one

By: on 12 July 2025
So I have had this guitar for 9 months now. I wanted to give it time to play in before I wrote a review. I see one review has given 2 stars because of the guitars weight. SOFT!!! Yes this guitar is on the heavy side, but not like those 90 Les Pauls!!! Anyway..... good finish, stays in tune , frets are great....smooth edges, nice fret board.... I mean NICE! OK....the pick ups..... well they are a surprise! They are sweet sounding. I play this above my Fen*** Player now! Another gem from Artist and better now they have lightened the weight!

So Heavy

By: on 1 March 2025
Yup my one was so heavy to I started to avoid picking it up then eventually came to really hate it. The comfort cutouts, the elbow on especially, were too shallow and not deep enough. A shame as the price is unbeatable and everything else about it was good.
