Artist JMZ200CEQ Solid Sitka Top Acoustic-Electric with Preamp

The JMZ200CEQ has a solid Sitka Spruce Top with laminated Zebrawood back and sides. This is a full-sized, 41” guitar with a high neck access cut-away, for easy, comfortable playing.

Sitka Spruce provides a bright, clear tone with a very broad dynamic range. This is balanced well with the Zebrawood back and sides which give a clear low-end, resonance, and a darker tone. This combination of woods makes the JMZ200CEQ a great all-rounder for playing everything from clean, crisp, fingerstyle to full, broad chord tones when strummed. The bevelled edges of the body make this a very comfortable guitar to play seated or standing, and give it a very eye-catching look too. The rounded edge also accents the fabulous grain of the top wood against the 5mm Mahogany body binding, which really makes this guitar very elegant and attractive.

As with all of our solid top instruments, the JMZ200CEQ includes real bone nut for optimum tonal transfer. The hardness of the bone gives the string a solid basis to vibrate against and ensures the best possible transfer of vibration, as does the solid Laurel bridge housing the saddle. The Okumen neck is comfortable with a gloss finish, and the rounded machine heads, solid Laurel fingerboard, and high-quality frets make this a player's instrument.

The JMZ200CEQ features a Presys II pre-amp by Fishman, who are renowned for their acoustic amplification expertise. This also features a built-in chromatic tuner, phase switch, and EQ, making this guitar the perfect companion for any stage or studio.

Beautiful guitar for the price, both in terms of looks and sound. Finish is top notch and the zebra wood on the body makes it stand out. Low heel and cutaway allow easy access to the highest frets. In case anyone is interested the lower bout is 41cm/16in wide and 12cm/4.75in deep. Has a nice full sound for its size and good sustain.

I'm really happy with this guitar. I'm an advanced beginner / intermediate player and find this nice to play with great sound. It looks great too. I don't think I'll be using the eq function anytime soon but it's nice to have should I want to explore that in the future. The built in tuner I use a lot for the songs I like to play that are half a step down. Only 4 stars though because the strings weren't in great nick when it arrived, I wonder if whoever tested it had really dirty hands because my fingers were black after playing the first time and I couldn't get the strings clean so ended up putting new strings on it. Overall though it's a great guitar. This is my 2nd guitar from Artist Guitars, the 1st was an electric that I got maybe a year ago and it's still going strong.

Arrived quickly... which is good in covid times!! Good condition. Love the finish. The strings were a bit worse for wear (this can happen)... Artist fixed that no problems. The guitar has a more than acceptable sound acoustically. The preamp is not the best, but played through an acoustic preamp it is more that acceptable. I am looking for an electric acoustic sound, so it is great. This would be an excellent beginner or back up guitar, however I intend using it at small gigs/shows (where I don't mind punters 'bumping' it)....all in all....I am very happy
