The Artist MSL110 Lap steel is a 6 string Metallic Black Lap steel with a Poplar body, with a rail pole pieced styled mini humbucker pickup, and coil tap Push-&-Pull Tone control.
This is a very popular Country Music Instrument. You would have heard this unique sound on many classic albums.
It comes included with legs, a gig bag and even a tone bar. Everything you'll need to play right out of the box.

Firstly, delivery was right on cue. Thanks for the accurate ETA. The product itself was very well packaged, contained all the bits it was supposed to, and was in good working condition straight out of the box. It is surprisingly well built, was accurately tuned to C6 (!), and sounds just like I anticipated. Overall, a good product, excellent value for money, and I would be well happy to deal with this company again.

great little lap steel
I bought two Artist MSL110 6 string lap steels and they were delivered within two days of making the payment. I tuned them to the tunings I wanted, C6 and E7, and started playing on them right away. About the only thing I would change, would be to have the strings a littler higher than they are. But that's not a showstopper. The bar is heavier than the one I first got started with, a fair few years ago, and lighter than the one I'd previously used on both a pedal steel and a lap steel. So it's a fairly good fit for a lap steel. I'm currently not using the legs, but that could change if I get into a band. All in all, I think it a good instrument, whether as a beginner's, a professional's, or as a second instrument.

6 String Lap Steel
Early days for me ,probably most other purchasers as well.First few weeks with it.For it's price,I think it is great.Using strings supplied,I think probably 10-46,stays in tune really well so far.,will fit heavier strings when I figure out what is most suitable. Weakest thing is the nut,but it will do until I figure out how to maybe fit something over the top of it. Tone control doesn't do much.Good idea with split coil,sounds OK with small amp,works super well with vst plugins,which is what is mainly used in my case.So it's super nice sounding through various synth amps.Pretty good intonation for my untrained ears.No buzzes,justsounds great.,a real nice sound.Tone bar is heavy,could do with maybe better,more ergonomic tone bar,but is still great for this price.Excellent bags,legs work fine.Had seen one returned for having ill fitting legs,but this one is fine.Good having adjustable tripod legs ,as you can slope forward to the player,bit easier to see what you are doing.Really looking forward to coming to grips with this new (for me),instrument.Well done artist guitars,I have never had a bad product from these guys.

MSL110 Lap Steel
With a history of buying musical instruments simply because I really need just one more, then fizzling out after a week or two and leaving them sitting somewhere deep in my wardrobe to be lost for a year or two, I overruled my wife's reminder about how many guitars I've got and ordered the above lapsteel. I've always loved Santo and Johnnys Sleepwalk { you have to be getting on to know who I'm referring to. Give them a try.} and fancied trying to learn at least that one song. I was expecting a Lapsteel to be quite expensive so was pleasantly surprised when I found Artist guitars had one at a very reasonable price. Free shipping as well was a real bonus. Shipped and received in very quick time. Artist guitars are great to deal with. Havn't quite mastered the lapsteel yet but working on it. I would say if you are keen to have a go at playing one and not spending a fortune doing it this is the one for you.. I'm not an expert but looks and sounds like the real deal to me. I'm Really happy with this guitar and would recommend it's worth a shot as a start out learner instrument without breaking the bank. Good luck.

The Artist MSL110 Lap steel 6 String Metallic Black Is a very good beginner instrument, the tuning nobs are relatively cheap feeling but they work fine, over all this is a great instrument.
