The Hotone Wong Press (SP-21) is the official signature 4-in-1 volume, expression, wah, and volume/wah pedal developed in direct collaboration with Grammy-nominated funk guitarist Cory Wong. Dressed in Cory’s custom blue-and-white finish, the Wong Press builds on Hotone's acclaimed Press architecture by incorporating Cory’s personal performance specs, including a customised active volume curve, adjustable wah Q control, and real-time LED position tracking.
Housed in a compact, road-ready enclosure, the Wong Press delivers pristine active signal routing, true bypass switching, and multi-mode flexibility without taking up unnecessary pedalboard real estate.
4-in-1 Multi-Mode Operation & Dual-Color LED Strip
The Wong Press offers four distinct operating modes accessible via a side-mounted mode switch:
- 4 Operating Modes: Functions as an active Volume pedal, standalone Wah, combined Volume/Wah, or a passive Expression pedal.
- Cory Wong Signature Volume Curve: Features an active volume design that eliminates tone suck and high-frequency loss over long cable runs.
- Custom Wah Q & Tone Control: Includes a two-way Tone switch (Warm: 290Hz to 1.4kHz | Classic: 360Hz to 1.8kHz) alongside a dedicated Q control knob to fine-tune the filter range and sweep peak.
- Real-Time STATUS LED Strip: A dual-colour LED strip dynamically indicates active mode (Green for Vol, Blue for Wah, Green/Blue for Vol/Wah) and real-time foot treadle position.
Pro Performance Connectivity
Equipped with independent 1/4" Expression and Tuner outputs, the Wong Press provides expanded control options across your rig:
- Separate EXP & Tuner Out: Connect to digital processors via the 10kΩ TRS Expression output or route to an external tuner for silent tuning.
- Flexible Powering: Runs on standard 9V DC power or a 9V battery. (Note: Expression mode operates 100% passively without power).

Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.

If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
